Early Intervention Programs

ABA is a scientific approach to understanding behavior. Within ABA treatment sessions, clinicians aid children in behavioral learning, thus increasing communication, social skills, play skills, independent skills, and daily living skills.

Special instruction focuses on supporting the social, emotional and cognitive development of young children as they perform their regular routines. The goal is to increase a child’s learning opportunities through gaining comfort performing these tasks.

Speech Therapy helps children with autism and related disorders improve their verbal, nonverbal, and social communication in order to be more independent with all communication partners across all environments. Our speech language pathologists conduct comprehensive evaluations and provide appropriate and dynamic service delivery methods, tailored to a child’s specific functional needs.

OT sessions are individualized based on the learners needs, but commonly focus on fine motor skills, visual motor skills, motor coordination, motor planning, and sensory processing to help your child participate in everyday life.

Within EIP, PT services are provided to help children increase their muscle control and strength so they can be more independent and play more easily with other children.

Evaluations are available in multiple languages

Feeding is a complex skill, and difficulties with feeding can be brought on due to psychological, physical, oral motor, and/or sensory needs that can significantly impact the quality of life of the client and their family.

Our licensed clinical social workers provide individual, group, and family mental health counseling for children and adults with mental health care needs.

Family Training teaches parents and caregivers strategies for helping their child achieve success in daily activities.

To receive services, eligible children must be referred directly to the relevant New York county program.
